Still one of the coolest entrances of all time: https://t.co/9WNwd6gqWd
Tommy from “Trainspotting” is also Lucius Vorenus from “Rome”. Blimey. Never would of guessed.
Gotta respect @KMcKOnline for that!
Friday night. “Rome” on the TV. @FootballManager on the computer. Wine in the belly. Beef stew in the slow cooker. Hell yeah.
This is a massive and awesome update to @plexapp’s music features: https://t.co/kh9gU8TyNl I now use Plex for all my music listening needs.
I adore Turing. But it’s just a shame to see the equally great Flowers and Tutte still in the dark. All three should be celebrated together!
Also, ‘Christopher’ was nothing compared to ‘Colossus’: https://t.co/dXdk9UMofK
They beat the Lorenz cipher which was arguably just as important to crack as Enigma.
Enigma = low-level comms. Lorenz = high-level comms.
Ironic that Alan Turing is finally getting some recognition. But Tommy Flowers and WT Tutte are still totally unknown for their equal work.
How beautiful is this F. P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance?! http://t.co/3VGlDnL0pH
Weird to think how much people could know about me just by seeing the 79 I follow.
Friends, interests, politics, location, it’s all there.
It’s that time of the month again where I implore you to go and watch “In Bruges”. So seek it out and watch it!
How is it that three massive tech companies, Twitter, Instagram, and Vine, have truly awful websites‽
I’ve had my Happy Hacking Keyboard for a few years now, but the sound of it is still pure pornography to me: http://t.co/k0WMaEHoYG
Jamie Redknapp wearing what looks like a lovely Paul Newman Rolex Daytona on Sky Sports tonight. #WatchWatch
Note: I’m drinking the one brewed by Hanssens Artisanaal bvba. It’s an ‘Oude Gueuze’, so no added sweeteners. http://t.co/LFhgmjksyt
It’s my first time drinking a gueuze style beer. Exactly as described. Very cider like with tastable sugar and a very bitter strong taste.
“Ex Machina”. Massive holes in it, with a less than wonderful final act. Never quite digs deep enough. Still, a very interesting film. 73%
“Whiplash” — Very one-dimensional, and bluntly directed at times. But it has an energy and zip that is great to watch. Finale was great. 74%
I like how on Amazon related purchases to an alcohol breathalyzer is the Scottish flag. http://t.co/6vlfE106cR
Rewatched American Hustle tonight. Being slightly drunk improved my enjoyment, but sadly it still felt like a Scorsese mob film knock-off.
“Birdman”. An exciting, original, energetic joy to watch. 83%
Happy Easter.
It’s that time of the month again where I implore you to go and watch “In Bruges”. So seek it out and watch it!
Spent the evening troubleshooting why I couldn’t access my Mac mini server remotely, only to come home to a power outage. That might be why.
But note: I’m talking about the extended cut, which is a big improvement on the original theatrical version. Buy it: http://t.co/voYxflFqUf
This is my original tweet about it in 2010: https://t.co/TrEbZBrXTi
As you can see, my opinion of it has improved in the years since.
“The Wolfman” is a very underrated movie. It’s dark, shot beautifully, and exactly what you want out of an old-school werewolf movie.
“The Hobbit: 5 Armies”. All the worst traits of a Peter Jackson film. It felt like watching a 12-year-old boy playing with his toys. 61/100
New blog post: Alcohol — http://t.co/HhXHDbpdvV
Also, I visit Twitter’s ‘who to follow’ page sometimes. And I am yet to follow any of their recommendations. Full of companies and celebs.
