A feral German child, a terminally-ill mother watching married daughters first dance via Skype + more. My ‘Today’ blog: http://t.co/JyS1OL7
Rise of the Planet of the Apes: The best CGI I’ve seen. The apes truly came to life. Humans let the film down. Film of the year so far. 7/10
Super 8 — E.T. + District 9. Young actors great. Some nice comedic parts. ‘Bad guy’ could of been more. A decent summer disaster movie. 7/10

Also pleased to hear the reason Oriol Romeu came was because of the promise of first team football. Good! I wanna see our youngsters play.
Looking forward to seeing the development of Romeu, Piazon and (potentially) Lukaku. Just a shame Barca have a buy-back option with Romeu.
Haven’t really talked about Chelsea or Roma on Twitter over the summer. Excited for both though. Fantastic young coaches at the two.
That’s a very tempting offer BT — http://cl.ly/93Lz (image)

Amazing how quickly I’ve fallen in love with podcasts and radio shows. Gone from listening to none to 15 in just a week. Great for walking.
Great article: That truck driver you flipped off? Let me tell you his story. http://www.startribune.com/opinion/otherviews/126619568.html
Also: don’t be put off by its foreign origin and limited UK showings, it’s great! British actors have dubbed it. Kids/Parent friendly too.
“Arrietty”. A different and charming Japanese film based on “The Borrowers”. An all round cute and delightful movie. Stunning art too. 7/10.
It’s ironic that the modern dustbin doesn’t allow any embers, as it was invented entirely to get rid of it. ‘Dust’, as it was once known.

So hot today I had to shorten my usual hour dog walk to half an hour. Now preparing for dinner & watching Star Wars for the first time ever.
Final points: seemed they just wanted to get this film out of the way to move onto the next one. 3D was pointless as always and cost £11.50!
2/2 Decent start but last 1/2 rushed. Some very annoying parts. Like the terrible Nazi bad guy and the love interest being EVERYWHERE! 6/10.
Captain America: Entered not knowing anything about the film or comic books. Found it rather cheesy, cliched & too superhero’y at times. 1/2
Someone has used the ‘googlemail’ alternative of my gmail to create an Apple ID. Looks like legit details. Not sure. Scammer or stupid?
See, this is why I don’t want F1 to go to Sky Sports. The BBC is HD streaming todays qualifying session. Watch it here: http://bbc.in/p0hKDp

Damn! F1 is off to Sky Sports. Why? BBC were getting best ever and consistently growing viewing figures. They’ll still show some races tho.
A little too excited about ‘Jimmy Hendrix Live at Monterey’ in HD! “You gotta excuse me for a minute, this where I play my guitar, right?”
Unbelievable photos of eyes. Seriously. Just wonderful. They look mountainous. http://bit.ly/oFdNi2
Then the cookie wizard disappeared into the meat section through the mist of shoppers and over-sized trolleys. Never to be seen again.
Story: there I was browsing the endless Costco shelves. He approached like a drug dealer. “Pst. Dude. Buy these fucking cookies. Seriously.”
What’s the going rate for a guy who pointed you in the direction of the best cookies you’ve ever tasted? If only I could find him again.
